The Bichat Warehouse was built in 1916 as an arsenale. Later it was used as a garage, until fire swept through it in the 1980s. The reinforced-concrete construction of this new Biennale venue, offering more than 800m² in floorspace, accommodates a single work:

Light installation

Approaching the site as a readymade, Cabrita Reis has turned it into a light-space delineated by industrial neons that react to the weather and the shifts between night and day.
