In southern China in 2006, Lin Yilin saw a young man walking with great difficulty because his wrist was handcuffed to his ankle. Followed by what seemed to be a plainclothes policeman, the young man was probably a bagsnatcher caught in the act a few minutes ago. Nothing obliged the policieman to inflict this public indignity on him, but the scene caused no compassion among other passersby.

For the 10th Biennale de Lyon Lin Yilin has reshot the scene on the Champs Elysées in Paris and presents a series of photos and two videos.
