Designed by Renzo Piano, the Lyon Museum of Contemporary Art opened in 1995 on the occasion of the 3rd Biennale. Centrally located in the Cité Internationale complex, close to Tête d’Or Park, it offers 3,000 m² of exhibition space spread over three wide floors.

The Museum features the "Living Together" chapter of the Biennale de Lyon. On the second floor, a work by Sarkis from the Museum’s collection has been reactivated in a new configuration titled "La Chaleur" (The Heat). In this 1,000 m² space, Sarkis and the Veduta Project are hosting a programme of encounters, performances, concerts, colloquia, etc., throughout the Biennale.
