Homeland: The Iu Mien Farm Tapes project. 2009 Wood, cassette audio system, C-prints, light boxes, priced acrylic, topographic model and video Homeland is an ongoing project about the construction of home territories and the constant revaluation of identities within nomadic, migratory and refugee communities. The Iu Mien Tapes project follows a specific Asian community, the Iu Mien, through their journey of Traditions-Transitions-Translations, from their historical migration from China to Vietnam and Laos to their participation in the Vietnam War, followed by their life in refugee camps and their final settlement in Western United States.
