Like Swimming Particle in the Air, Nishitajiri. 2003 - 2009

The sculpture, created in 2003 with the help of children in welding the iron, still stands in Shirahake village. In 2009, the artist exhibits in a storage house in the village, which has only 3 houses and one inn. A mural is created by welding countless round iron plates together. It is installed in such a manner that the piece connects the inside and outside of the storage house. In the adjacent parking lot, the artist will set up a hand-built counter and run a café serving handmade bread and expresso. The Hotaru Café will also be manned by local older women.
