The pagoda structure is based upon several Burmese historical styles and was constructed from 5.5 tons of granulated sugar, with the assistance of Aung Ko (Myanmar) and 45 volunteers. The structure's erosion over the duration of the exhibition, alludes to the erosion of optimism for an improved life for the people of Myanmar.
