Empire's Borders I. 2008 - 2009 Empire's Borders I explores from a Taiwanese experience how the government of the United States has used control tactics to plant imperial ideology in the consciousness of Taiwanese people, and how after long-term internalisation this has become the way in which Taiwan controls "others". The project also explores whether it is possible to root out this imperial ideology.
