Sharjah Art Museum
Opened in 1995. Two-storey building, extended in 1997, comprises a total area of 111,000 m2. Permanent collections and rotating exhibitions of art from older periods as well as contemporary, including prize-winning art works of the Sharjah Biennial; art library.

Sharjah Museum for Contemporary Arab Art
Opened during the 5th Sharjah Biennial in 2001. Permanent collection and rotating exhibitions of contemporary Arab art. Access via the Sharjah Art Museum, located in its expanded building.

Arabic Art Centre
Established in 2000, to promote the art exchange between Arab countries and other parts of the world: exhibitions, symposiums, conferences, research, archiving, publications, translation programs, magazine for visual culture and contemporary visual art.

Sharjah Art Institute
Educational establishment and art gallery, opened in 1997 in the restored Al Serkal house, a 150 years old building. Courses for students (11 - 25 years) in most of the visual art disciplines. Graduation certificate attested by the Department of Culture & Information.

Emirates Fine Arts Society
Nationwide non-profit association with headquarters in Sharjah, founded in 1980. Supports artists from the United Arab Emirates. Further education, workshops, seminars, exhibitions.

Organization concerned with developing artistic abilities among the disabled, fostering their rehabilitation and integration in society.

Sharjah Art Galleries
Studios and workshops for artists, coordinated by the Directorate of Art.

Arabic Calligraphy Square:

Sharjah Museum for the Art of the Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentations
Collection; exhibition and research centre for traditional and contemporary calligraphy.

Sharjah Center for the Art of the Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentations
Educational establishment for young people and adults. Courses and workshops for Arabic calligraphy, including restoration of manuscripts, paper manufacturing, ceramics, etc.

The Calligraphers' studios and Ceramics studio
Ateliers, workshops, and exhibition venues for calligraphers and ceramists.
