The Artist’s Garden. 1993
(Detail of the façade) Intervention using a range of materials in 3 sites at the Museo Juan Manuel Blanes, Montevideo. The piece makes reference to the history of the museum’s building, to the architectural changes carried out by different owners, to its transformation from a private to a public space, and to an owner of the property who lost her mind and was locked up in the building. The building’s history runs parallel to the political history of Montevideo. The intervention highlights the relations between art, power, sin and madness.
