The Two Fridas (detail). 1990
Performance-installation (3 hours) and staged photograph (160 x 150 cm), Galería Bucci, Santiago. The artists projected a photograph of the Frida Kahlo painting with the same name from the street into the gallery and caused the image to fade by projecting it through a piece of plastic hanging at the entrance and another one placed inside the gallery. On the floor was the artists staged photograph, and these same artists were in the back of the gallery enacting the same scene, with a catheter, blood and oil paint on their bodies.
