6th Curitiba Biennial 2011

Alfons Hug and Ticio Escobar are in charge of this 6th edition as general curators, accompanied by Adriana Almada and Paz Guevara as co-curators, and Alberto Saraiva, Artur Freitas, Eliane Prolik and Simone Landal as guest curators. The team is completed by the curators Denise Bandeira and Sonia Tramujas, who have been specially appointed for the educational project.

The general curators develop their curatorial approach under the title "Beyond the Crisis". In their curatorial text the point of departure for their reflections is the analysis of the origin of the word "crisis", which is "omnipresent as a background noise" these days, dominating every discourse.
