54th International Art Exhibition

The central international exhibition "ILLUMInazioni - ILLUMInations", curated by Bice Curiger, was paralleled by 88 national participations, a record for the Art Biennale (there were 77 in 2009), housed in the historical Pavilions in the Giardini, in the Arsenale, as well as in other locations around the city. More than 40 Collateral Events were arranged by international organizations and institutions in various locations. Like in the case of all Venice Biennials since 2001, Universes in Universe has produced a Special dedicated to the event, with extensive coverages of selected pavilions and exhibitions, including:

Future Pass
From Asia to the World. Over 100 artists. Curators: Victoria Lu, Renzo di Renzo, Felix Schöber. Abbazia di San Gregorio and Palazzo Mangilli-Valmarana.

Latin America

The Future of a Promise

United Arab Emirates

Working for Change
