For Lara Baladi, photography is a means of playfully engaging with different forms of composition and representation. In her piece entitled The Banquet, which consists of two portfolios, she offers a humorous account of the different deceptive images of femininity and seduction. In the one portfolio she presents a standard pattern of femininity and in the other her own femininity.
