Transfer Türkiye - NRW
Artistic Exchange Turkey - North Rhine-Westphalia

Transfer türkiye - NRW

The seventh edition of the international artist and art exchange programme Transfer of the Secretary of Culture of the German State of North Rhine-Westphalia is taking place since 2005, dedicated to the guest country Turkey. In December 2005, a bi-national jury of curators selected seven artists from Turkey and Germany respectively from more than 100 proposals.

The programme's goal is to promote exceptional artistic talent, to bring distinct art scenes closer, to trace artistic developments and to encourage transcultural dialogue, making a weighty contribution towards mutual understanding of cultures.

After the artists' residencies in Turkey and in North Rhine-Westphalia, four exhibitions will present the works of the participating artists: Aksel Zeydan Göz, Anja Jensen, Burak Delier, Cengiz Tekin, Elif Çelebi, Eva-Maria Kollischan, Ferhat Özgür, Matthias Schamp, Max Sudhues, Stephan Mörsch, Sener Ozmen, Tatjana Doll, Yasemin Özcan Kaya and Heike Weber.

Exhibition venues in Germany:
Aachen, Ludwig Forum für Internationale Kunst (14 September - 4 November 2007)
Bochum, Museum Bochum (15 September - 4 November 2007)
Münster, Ausstellungshallle für Zeitgenössische Kunst (16 September - 25 November 2007)

Exhibition venue in Turkey:
Istanbul, santralistanbul (7 December - 27 January 2008)
