Hejleh

Monir Farmanfarmaian in Tehran 2007, next to her "Hejleh", which is a 'mobile shrine’ used traditionally in Iran to commemorate someone who has died. Monir created a ‘fantasy Hejleh’ in memory of her husband, other family members, poets and other individuals that she admired.
