1st Video Art Festival Damascus
Call for Submissions

AllArtNow calls for submissions for the 1st Video Art Festival taking place at their premises from 5 - 15 January 2009, in the frame of Damascus Culture Capital. The event will coincide with the closure of Damascus, and the opening of Jerusalem as capital of Arab culture.

The festival is open to submissions from other countries. It will focus on the presentation and discussion of low budget and experimental video art.

AllArtNow, founded in 2005 in Damascus, is a private initiative to support contemporary Syrian arts – especially installation and video art, and to network with other organizations (in Syria and abroad) to cooperate in different activities, such as exhibitions, workshops, and exchanges.

To participate, please submit a completed application form and your video (DVD format) in a sealed envelope to:
