Art Dubai 2010

The fourth edition of Art Dubai takes place from 17 - 20 March 2010 showcasing 70 galleries from 30 countries.

A new initiative for this year are the "Artist Focus stands" where a number of galleries concentrate their exhibits on one or two artists. There will also be a new area devoted to museum-quality painting and sculpture from the 1950’s to 1970’s.

Highlights of the fair include the unveiling of the artwork by this year’s recipients of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize, and the programme curated by Bidoun Projects with guest curator Aram Moshayedi, and the curatorial team of Sohrab Mohebbi and Özge Ersoy. In addition, Antonia Carver and Masoud Amralla Al Ali will curate a programme of films by UAE directors and artists.

Under the banner Crucial Moments, the panel discussions of the Global Art Forum will explore evolving aspects of contemporary culture including education, mapping modernism, art writing, and patronage.
