Tomorrow everything will be alright. 2010 Videobrasil, originally dedicated to video production, has been transformed in this 17th edition into an International Contemporary Art Festival open to all artistic disciplines. Participants of the competitive exhibition "Southern Panoramas" have been selected from among 1,295 entrants. Director and general curator is Solange Oliveira Farkas. The Festival jury included Agustín Pérez Rubio, director of the MUSAC (Contemporary Art Museum of Castilla y León), in Spain; Bisi Silva, founder of CCA Lagos (Center for Contemporary Art), in Nigeria; Gabriela Salgado, an independent curator specializing in Latin America; Rodrigo Moura, curator of Instituto Inhotim (Brumadinho, state of Minas Gerais); and Raquel Schwartz, director of Galeria Kiósko in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Akram Zaatari has a long-time involvement with the Festival, having participated in several editions since 1996. The 14th Videobrasil in 2003 presented a "Retrospective Akram Zaatari", and during that event, he also curated a selection of videos together with Christine Tohme, as part of the program "Possible Narratives - Artistic Practices in Lebanon."
