Go Baby Go, We Are Right Behind You; Go Baby Go, We Are Looking at You. 2010
Painting, paper, carbon paper and acrylic on canvas
200 x 200 cm The emblematic sun, one of the most representative national simbols of Uruguay, placed within a fabric of texts and with a stained eye. The background is formed by pages of the school book "Ensayo de Historia Patria" (Essay of the Homeland's History), used in the 1940s in the local schools, in which the foundation of the Uruguayan Republic is narrated through the heroic achievements of the heroes of the independence.
